So I bought this new jacket from Missguided and basically, I really hope you like it because it’s gonna be popping up everywhere for the rest of eternity [insert upside down smile emoji here].
That was the most random start to a post ever wasn’t it? But I’m in one of those really good moods where all I wanna do is sit and have a chat so you know, prepare for the word vomit and a 3 conversations going off on 3050953 tangents.
Basically, I’m sat on the train coming back from a press trip with Nina Ricci to Babington House – which is officially the most stunningly gorgeous place I have EVER stayed in – with Jess to my left, Sabrina in front… and I just feel so happy and lucky and grateful that this is my job and this is my life. I just feel like, although life has been… turbulent over the last few months, things are finally beginning to slot back into place. Everything feels fun and normal again and life is just good.
I mean, the busiest it’s ever been and more stressful than ever but the good kind of “I’ve got a million campaigns and emails and trips and all of those other first world problem blogger issues to deal with” stress. It’s funny because I feel a little bit like I’ve got my shit together more than ever before, I – without sounding like the most, cliche tit of all time – know who I am more and hilariously, I think I might be a bit more independant woman.
Cue bursting out into Beyonce tunes for the entire journey home.
Anyway, I thought I’d give you a little casual catch up/update whilst chatting about some new favourite purchases because that’s kinda how I started this blog and sometimes it’s just good to go back to basics isn’t it?
So, here’s my dreamboat jacket that I can’t get enough of alongside some other bits and pieces that never leave my – rapidly growing because helllooooo ice cream weather – bod.
In all honesty, I don’t know really how much more I can say about it, especially when it kinda does the talking itself. Although what I will say is that in the space of a couple of weeks it might be one of my most complimented pieces ever which is always a massive plus. Alongside said jacket that I’ve now fangirled over harder than I did with Take That when I was 24 16, are these amazing frayed hem jeans which are slightly boyfriend fit but also slightly skinny (and also veeeeeery comfortable) and a T-shirt which says Dream Big on it because, you know.. I’m the world’s biggest cliche. Oh and the shoes, well those little corkers are £10 bad boys from Primark that look so much like the £500+ Gucci slippers that I almost can’t cope.
Ok, so… this is the point where I return to editing the post days after starting to write it – because life and work and emails and work and emails get in the way – and in the interim, something awful has happened. I wouldn’t usually mention events like the Westminster bridge/Parliament attack that happened a week or so ago but considering these photos were taken just a day before the attack happened, in the same place, I couldn’t not reference it in some way. If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that Westminster bridge is my second home. I am literally always shooting there to the point of receiving at least 10 messages from people asking if I was OK and I wasn’t in the area and I think it just got me thinking. We all know that life can change inconceivably in a matter of moments, but the London attacks were proof that that did indeed happen for at least 4 people that day. I don’t need to go into how horrendous and horrific and terrible and devastating it was because we all know that it doesn’t bear thinking about… I guess this is just another reminder that we really need to live every day like it’s our last.
So let’s wrap this up because I currently have some gluten free toast toasting and an explosion of avocado all over my kitchen because sometimes you just gotta be a basic bitch. I hope you’re all doing well.. it feels like a while since we’ve had a little chat and I miss it. I also miss uploading posts regularly but jesus has blogging – and everything that comes with it… emails, travelling, admin, shooting, planning, meetings – been more mental than ever recently. I will get myself back into some kind or regular pattern soon but for now, please know that exciting things are coming [insert can’t look monkey emoji here] and when I go an outrageous amount of time without posting, it’s because I’m working my ever increasing arse off behind the scenes.

The exact same thing happened to me – I had started writing a post about London, left it for a bit and then came back to it after the attack 🙁
Onto happier things – I adore your jacket! Also those jeans suit you perfectly and the frayed ankles are dreamy!

Hated hearing about the London incident, although thankfully more people weren't hurt…
On a completely lighter note this is probably one of my favourite outfits I've seen on you- that jacket is a beaut! I'd love to know where the sunglasses are from as well?
